Dr. Gyu-Seog Choi is one of the early pioneers of MIS for colorectal cancer as he started since 1994. Currently he has performed more than 10000 laparoscopic and robotic colorectal cancer. And he is an active/founding member of several academic associations and societies. He has contributed more than 200 papers in surgical and oncologic field of science. Many outstanding achievements have led him to win the prizes including Karl-Storz award from EAES. At present he is a Professor of division of colorectal surgery at Kyungpook national university hospital. His main interests are MIS and robotic surgery for colorectal cancer and cancer immunogenetics.
